About a year and a half ago, my husband began collecting herb plants. Yes, he collects them much like someone with stamps. When we visit local greenhouses and gardens, he reviews their selections for herbs we don't have and that would be useful in our cooking. Since that time the number of herbs has grown from two to sixteen. The natural question would be: Where do you put all those herbs? This is where the decision of potted versus planted comes into play. There are benefits and disadvantages to both.
